Review : The Body Shop DROPS OF YOUTH

Today's post is going to be a review on two products from The Body Shop, which are from the DROPS OF YOUTH collection. I've been using these products for about a little over a month and I've seen the results. I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with them.

The first product is the Youth Concentrate.

This product has a thin serum texture which melts into the skin as soon as it's applied to the face. You can literally feel the product instantly being absorbed by your skin as you massage it into your face. It's not tacky and it doesn't leave a sticky feeling to your face. Be warned, that like most skin care products, it has a certain fragrance to it, but the smell isn't something that is too overwhelming. I love this because it saves me a lot of time during both my morning and night skincare routine since it works so fast. It has a dropper applicator, and a couple of drops is enough to cover the entire face. A little indeed goes a long way with this product. It retails at RM222.17 for 50ml worth of product (as listed in their website).

The second product is the Youth Cream.

 This product has an air whipped cream texture. It is very light and just like the product before, it absorbs really quickly into the skin upon application. Again, it is not tacky or leaves a sticky feeling to the skin afterwards like lotions or moisturizers. Just like the Youth Concentrate, a little goes a long way with this product. This product retails at RM137.26 for 50ml worth of product.

Prior to using these two products I had combination skin and of course, my T-zone would normally be oily. But after incorporating these two into my daily skin care routine, after roughly a week I noticed that my T-zone was no longer as oily as it used to be but it was not dry as well. I also noticed that my skin became more plump and hydrated in the mornings, as opposed to being extra oily in some parts and drier in others.

Basically, to sum up my review of these products, I can personally say that I have experienced a great improvement in my skin condition after a month of usage. It provides me with the perfect amount of moisture without causing any break outs or producing any excess oil. It is a highly recommended product in my book, for people who are experiencing both oily and dry skin. It's great value for your money because like I said earlier, a little goes a long way and the 50ml bottles can last up to 2 months or more if you don't go crazy on the application.
